just made this and turned out great! but since i’m such a carnivore i had to put some meat in there. I actually just took a few slices of bacon and cut them up into little pieces and they were delicious! i also added some meaty fresh shitake mushrooms!! thanks so much for the recipe!

It looks delicious! I want to try that, do you already have a video of that up?

And don’t worry about the late reply, better late than never :D

  14. puggychu says:

My guess is to rinse off the strong cabbage odor out after boiling it so the end soup will have a milder taste. This is what I noticed anyway when I tried it.

Try smelling it before rinse & after then you will agree too.

  15. Maangchi says:

@jobanni150 yes, you can. of course!

  16. Maangchi says:

@puggychu Thank you for your update! cool!

  17. puggychu says:

I just tried this recipe tonight & it’s delious!
I don’t have anchovies so I used vietnamese fish sauce so it still turned out good.

  18. Maangchi says:

@NSarge87 That’s also kimchi made with Chinese broccoli. Delicious. : ) Sorry about the late reply!

  19. NSarge87 says:

What was the name of the side dish after the tofu side dish before the broccoli?

  21. Maangchi says:

@myprivateidaho yeah, as long as you have all ingredients for this soup, why not? I’m sure you will enjoy this soup. Thank you very much for your interest in my recipes!

  22. myprivateidaho says:

OMG I had some cabbage left and soybean paste is a staple in my kitchen, so I tried your recipe and WOW it’s sooooo delicious! Thank you!

  23. Maangchi says:

@thesha1000 You can use less soybean paste. I think you don’t have to worry about MSG in soy bean paste.

  24. thesha1000 says:

Hi maangchi. I would like to ask you if soybean paste and hot pepper paste have a high salt content or if they added msg or ajinomoto to make the paste delicious. I need to cut down on my salt intake as per doctor instruction! Let me know as I wanna cook using ur recipes!
